How to configure a proxy on Android platforms

To configure the proxy on Android, you must install the ProxyDroid program.

Install ProxyDroid

If you don't know how to use the Play Store. To install ProxyDroid, go to the Play Store app and search for ProxyDroid. A screen similar to the following image will appear:

Select the ProxyDroid icon, highlighted in the following image:

The installation screen will appear. Click the Install button.

You will be asked to agree that ProxyDroid has access to certain information necessary for its operation. Click the OK button to install the application.

 

Configure ProxyDroid

After installation, click the Open button. The configuration screen will be displayed, illustrated in the following image:3.png

    • Select the Proxy option and enter the IP of your Proxy server.

    • In the Port option, enter the port number of the proxy server.

    • Proxy type, if necessary, select data transfer protocol. The default is HTTP.

    • Activate the Auto Connect option by clicking on it.

    • Under Account Information, enable Enable Authentication by clicking it.

    • Enter username and password in the Username and Password fields.

Future configurations:

Check Global Proxy if you want all applications to pass their data traffic through the proxy. Check Individual proxy if you only want some applications to pass their data traffic through the proxy. Selecting this option will take you to the list of applications to select from.

 

Enable proxy service

After configuring, under Service Controller, located at the top of the screen, select Proxy Switch to enable the service. When the service is enabled, the configuration screen will be displayed with the ON option at the top of the screen enabled. See the image below:
