Update Samsung Firmware Directly through 4yousee Manager.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to update Samsung monitors running the Tizen operating system directly through the 4yousee Manager platform, without needing to manually download the firmware or use a USB flash drive.

Prerequisites:
- A stable internet connection (preferably via cable)
- Identify the family and series of your Samsung monitor.

Setting up the update URL
Identify the family and series of your Samsung monitor. "The family is indicated on the player's set up screen"

Copy and paste the URL below into the field INSERT THE URL FOR FIRMWARE UPDATE.

https://4yousee-static.s3.amazonaws.com/samsung/T-familyseries/versao/swuimage.bem

- Replace “familyseries” by the family of your monitor series.
- Replace “version” by the version of firmware to be installed. To identify the correct version, refer to the list below, which specifies the monitor families and their respective versions available in our repository.

For example, for the S-PTMLWWC family, the version that should be copied and pasted into the URL is: 1060_9.

Example:

https://4yousee-static.s3.amazonaws.com/samsung/S-PTMLWWC/1060_9/swuimage.bem

- Below is the list of firmware versions available in our repository that you can use to install on your monitor. The version above the others is always the most recent, but if you encounter any difficulties during installation, you can opt for the second available version.

Important: Only the available versions in our repository may be installed remotely. Newer versions will be added in time.

As long as the monitor belongs to the same series family, the size in inches doesn't interfere in the installation process.

Locating player setup options:
1. Access your account on 4yousee Manager.
2. Go to the Players tab and click on the Players option.
3. Use the search bar to find your Samsung Player by tipping its name or ID.
4. After locating the player, in the Operations column, click on the button with the Samsung logo and select Set up Player.
5. A new tab will open. Scroll the page until you find the field INSERT THE URL FOR FIRMWARE UPDATE.

Saving Adjustments to Proceed with the Update:
After pasting the created URL in the field indicated previously, click on Save.

Attention: After saving the adjustments, the monitor needs to maintain plugged in and with internet connection until it finishes the entire update process.

Monitoring the update:
-On the same Samsung button, instead of clicking on "Set up Player" click on "Monitor"
- If there's an error in the URL inserted on the player setup, a message will show in the logs "Firmware URL Error"

- If everything is correct, you will see "Firmware Installation Progress" with a percentage bar, indicating the firmware download progress.

While the firmware is downloading, the player will remain exhibiting its contents normally. But, during the installation process the screen can show a different message.
Conclusion:
When the installation is successfully completed, a notification will appear statin "Firmware installation Successful".

After the firmware been successfully updated, the monitor will be rebooted automatically.
